The Problem

When ITG approached Streamline just a couple of days before Christmas for a Santa type challenge, we jumped at the chance.

Four different colour critical look books were required for prestigious clothing mail order company, Joules. These were needed at 15 addresses across Europe for an international launch on January 5th.

The Challenge, artwork wouldn’t be ready until December 23rd!

How we helped

Our ISO 12647 accredited Colour Management System allows us to produce colour accurate proofs, ensuring there would be no colour matching problems when we got to press.

Our flexible workforce, and full in house production facilities allowed us to print, fold and stitch these important brochures in record time. Using our inline coating unit meant the sheets were ready to fold as soon as they came of the press, reducing the production time even further.

These were then stitched and trimmed before being collected by our army of international courier’s on December 30th. With only one full working day between collection and the launch, we were still up against it but all deliveries were successfully made right on time.

What ITG had to say:

The challenge we set to Jon and the team at Streamline was enormous but they accepted it and delivered on every level.

” The books were produced to the highest standard, earlier than requested and without any fuss. I’m not entirely sure how they did but a huge thanks must go to the team! ” Jason Adams, Customer Service Director
Royal Crown Derby

The Problem

It’s one thing being able to print high end colour critical brochures but at Streamline we like to look at the objectives of the whole project or campaign. By having a better understanding of what our customers are trying to achieve allows us to offer help and advice outside of our core print activity.

When Royal Crown Derby’s normal mailing house couldn’t achieve a tight deadline over Christmas, we were only too happy to offer our services.

How we helped

By asking the right questions and using our expertise, not only did we ensure the magazine arrived on time, we managed to reduce our customer’s international postage bill by half.

What Royal Crown Derby
had to say:

Royal Crown Derby have been working on a regular basis with Streamline Printers since May 2014. We find them exceptionally helpful in providing a prompt and accurate service whether it be a quotation or guidance on a project basis. We use Streamline to print a regular customer magazine whilst using our normal fulfilment house.

” We had a crisis prior to Christmas whereby there was a tight deadline to achieve both print and fulfilment in between Christmas and New Year to capture the customers’ purchasing straight after Christmas. Our normal fulfilment house were unable to provide the service in the time line we required and we requested Streamline’s assistance. Not only did they offer their own fulfilment supplier who could achieve the deadline but came up with a cost solution by looking at the current European mailing costs for us, confirming a revised cost which saved us just over half the amount to send and the magazine arrived on time. ” Fiona Atkinson, Marketing Manager
Plasmor

The Problem

Ensuring your print accurately reflects your products can be a real challenge which was what was facing Plasmor, the luxury paving manufacturers.

They were producing a sales tool for one of their paver layers who needed a colour accurate brochure that they could show their customers when planning a new drive.

How we helped

Our Complete Colour Management system is accredited to ISO 12647 which is an internationally recognised standard for colour.

Our proofs are calibrated to our presses and everything is controlled by our Colour Management hub. This means that the proofs you receive when you trust us with your work are a true reflection of how your brochure will print.

Sheets are then scanned by our Hub which measures not only ink density but also dot gain and other print parameters. This information is then fed back to the press ensuring accurate, constant colour matching throughout the print run.

What Plasmor
had to say:

” Some of our colours are very similar so we needed a brochure that could reflect that. When you are choosing a new drive, you will often spend a long time deciding on the right colour. We can’t have our customers choosing one colour and ending up with something different. ” Nikki Pearson, Creative Director
Liniar

The Problem

The Liniar range from HL Plastics is recognised as the most innovative PVCu window and door collection in the industry. The in-house design team wanted to produce “the ultimate bible” to help architects specify Liniar products. Full of technical information, the Liniar Specification Guide also needed to have the ‘WOW’ factor to ensure architects, developers and specifiers would immediately see its value and use it as a point of reference into the future.

How we helped

The Liniar team was looking for advice and inspiration to produce the highest quality guide possible. They already had a great design and wanted help in getting the most from it. After running through various options, we produced some copies digitally with different finishes so the team could decide what they liked best.

The design itself had a solid dark grey background on all pages. This was originally set up as a high percentage of all 4 colours. Knowing this was likely to lead to inconsistencies throughout the book, we worked with the design team to help change the tint values of the background so the overall colour remained very similar but had a higher black value but lower on the other 3 colours. This ensured the tint was consistent throughout the brochure but the final colour was still the same as the original design.

The final 94page guide was laminated, foil blocked, spot UV varnished with a die cut cover and the first page printed on a translucent material. This really did allow for the teams creative approach to shine through and give the book a professional, high quality appearance.

What Liniar had to say:

We were thrilled with the final result, and the Specification Guide has gone down really well with all our customers. We have invested a lot of time and effort in producing this guide and are delighted that everyone is finding the guide invaluable.

“Martin and the team at Streamline have been fantastic with help and advice, and we would not have achieved the result we were after without their guidance and input.” Sue Davenport, Marketing Director
Pantherella

The Problem

Luxury sock manufacturer, Pantherella, wanted to make a bold move by moving one of their brochures from a coated stock to uncoated. They still needed to show all the detail in the fabrics and to ensure the colours were still vibrant.

Not only that, it was needed in a few days for a major conference.

How we helped

With our knowledge and experience with uncoated papers, the team at Streamline were not phased. Using our specialist techniques for uncoated material along with our unique coating that helps the print to dry a lot quicker, we produced a fantastic brochure that lived up to all expectations….. in record time too!

What Pantherella
had to say:

The team at Streamline worked tirelessly to make sure that the quality of print we required was achieved on our choice of uncoated stock with the bright areas being bold, the darker areas were clear and the softer images crisp and clean.

” They also met our demands for a quick turnaround which meant we hit our conference deadline. Excellent service all round.” Sophie Hardwicke, Communications Assistant
Cash Generators

The Problem

With over 200 stores nationwide, Cash Generators need to supply a large variety of different point of sale items to each store. Each store required a different selection of items ranging from simple leaflets through to large signage and all produced on varying substrates. Ensuring brand constancy and the safe delivery of all items was essential.

How we helped

Having the facilities to produce everything from A0 banners through to A5 leaflets in house ensured Streamline were able to not only ensure consistency across various substrates but also able to collate and pack the various items as required in a very short space of time.

What Cash Generators
had to say:

We had a nationwide campaign which we needed to get out to our estate on a very tight timescale. Wayne and the team were very accommodating and more than happy to rise to the challenge. We had experienced problems with past suppliers delivering our marketing collateral in sub-standard packaging meaning the items were damaged on arrival. We made Streamline aware of this and they were quick to alleviate our concerns. We were kept fully informed as the job progressed and the items arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

“We are very happy with the service provided by Streamline and will continue to work with them on a regular basis.” Cash Generators

Cross Productions

The Problem

Cross Productions produce a range of high quality, content based publications across a variety of different subjects. Their latest challenge was to grab the reader’s attention with a personalised approach. Not only that, but we only had a matter days to produce.

How we helped

Having a partnership approach with Cross Productions gives them the opportunity to work smarter and in different ways. Through our natural and ongoing communication, we decided to produce an issue of their Niche Magazine with personalised content for some of their readers. Utilising the wide range of services we have available in house, we used our digital presses to produce personalised content while our litho presses produced the generic print.

Careful processes were then followed to ensure the personalised and generic pages came together on the binding line before ensuring the right copy was delivered to its intended recipient.

What Cross Productions
had to say:

We were delighted with the final result that Streamline have produced. Their attention to detail and enthusiastic approach ensured we achieved the right results.

“Being able to rely on Streamline to deliver goods in practically no time at all is so important to us. We value their constant input and ideas as it really helps us to deliver engaging magazines that grab our reader’s attention.” Jenny Cross, Director
Clarke & Clarke

The Problem

Relying on colour critical print to sell their luxury soft furnishings and wall coverings, Clarke & Clarke were struggling for accuracy and consistency when they first approached Streamline. Producing a variety of items from brochures to pattern books, ensuring these were accurate and consistent across all the ranges was proving to be a real challenge.

How we helped

In the early days of our partnership, we provided a free print test to showcase exactly where we sat in terms of colour, clarity and the sharpness of our print. Needless to say we passed the test thanks to our technologies and experience in that market. In particular the use of Image Control really gave us the extra edge in colour reproduction giving the client extra confidence in our capabilities.

Being accredited with ISO 12647, the internationally recognised certification for colour management, Clarke & Clarke have confidence in every piece of print that we produce for them.

What Clarke & Clarke
had to say:

“With the help and support from Wayne and the team at Streamline, we now have complete confidence in the colour accuracy of our products. It’s vitally important that from proof to finished print, it’s as close as possible.” Rebecca Jones, Senior designer at Clarke & Clarke
Royal Crown Derby.

The Problem

We have recently produced a suite of printed materials for a Global launch for the prestigious tableware manufactures, Royal Crown Derby.

A luxury brochure, folder, inserts and postcards all had to be produced to the highest standard in a very short space of time. All of the products are colour critical so our Complete Colour Management systems were paramount on this project.

How we helped

The launch was taking place at an exhibition in France so the delivery date could not be moved.

Upon receipt of the files from Royal Crown Derby, our pre-press department picked up on a couple of artwork errors and inconsistencies that would have given the brochure an inferior finish. This was flagged up was amended prior to proofing ensuring we kept to the tight timescale.

Once approved we went straight to press. Operating a 24hr shift pattern gave us total flexibility in production. With a solid blue front cover on an uncoated stock, we were always going to be up against it.

This complex and very high quality campaign was completed in in under 3 days even with artwork being late and wrong as well as having complex finishing. Having a proactive team that is able to react and be flexible, ensures we do all we can to ensure our customers are not let down.

What Royal Crown Derby
had to say:

“Great news! Thank you so much mate, & can you pass on thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to make sure it’s done in time! You guys have done an absolutely brilliant job and we would failed with the launch if it wasn’t for that!” Grant Thompson, Royal Crown Derby
